HRW FabLab

At the FabLab in Bottrop, state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies such as 3D printers, laser cutters and CNC milling machines are available to develop tangible prototypes and projects from ideas. Whether for student projects, final theses or simply for experimentation - the FabLab is the ideal place to try things out and gain practical experience. It offers an open and inspiring environment in which collaboration and exchange are very important.

IoT-Labor

The lab has a number of 3D printers that can be used freely for student work.
IoT stands for Internet of Things. At the Mülheim campus, students can learn how everyday objects can become “intelligent” through networking and programming. With the support of state-of-the-art sensors, microcontrollers and software tools, students and interested parties can develop and implement innovative solutions that will shape our digital future.

What else is on offer

Both labs are not only learning and experimental environments, but also central points of contact for anyone who wants to turn their business ideas into reality. Whether you just have an idea or are already working on a specific product, the FabLab and the IoT lab offer comprehensive support in prototyping and implementing innovation projects. By working closely with the HRW StartUp team, founders can use the labs as incubators to turn their ideas into marketable products.
