International exchange students: Trip to Zeche Zollverein

The international exchange students from the HRW, accompanied by their German buddies and their German teacher and excursion leader Anja Kronen-Ekhard (pictured right), went on a day trip to the "Zeche Zollverein" a coal mine industrial complex in Essen. Taking part in a guided tour on the subject of ‘On Coal and Miners’ and then visiting the Ruhr Museum gave them a deeper insight into the history of the Ruhr region. The excursion was organised to bring the semester to a close together and to say goodbye to the international exchange students.
