Transatlantic Summer School on Sustainability 2025 - Implementing Sustainability
HRW will host the Summer School in 2025! We are pleased to invite students from all disciplines to participate in the Transatlantic Summer School on Sustainability in summer 2025.
The participating students will work together with project partners such as Bayer 04 Leverkusen, the recycling expert Tomra or the organising committee of the Rhine-Ruhr-Games 2025 in small project groups on concrete tasks from the real everyday life of the project partners.
The interdisciplinary nature of the students and the different backgrounds of the participating universities from Germany and the USA guarantee a diverse perspective on the tasks. This results in exciting and valuable tasks.
The Summer School is a co-operation between Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences, Hochschule Harz, the Wayne State University and the Iowa State University.

The Transatlantic Summer School on Sustainability includes seminars and workshops on problem-solving strategies in the areas of intercultural communication, environment, sustainability and digital transformation. In 2024, the Summer School took place for the second time - for the first time in the USA! The theme was Sustainability of Food.
