Ann-Kathrin Allekotte, M.A., is the second mayor of the city of Mülheim an der Ruhr and a member of the Green parliamentary group on Mülheim city council. Her main job is as a research assistant at the Institute for Media and Cultural Studies at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. Ann-Kathrin Allekotte studied media and cultural studies as well as media culture analysis in Düsseldorf, at the University of California Davis, USA and at the University of Utrecht, Netherlands. In her dissertation project, she focusses on contemporary short video formats such as music videos, TikTok videos and Instagram reels as spaces of possibility between politics, art and commerce.

Natalie Amiri, born in 1978, is a German-Iranian journalist, television presenter and author. She has been presenting Weltspiegel from Munich since 30 March 2014, as well as the BR Europe magazine EUROBLICK. She headed the ARD studio in Tehran from 2015 to April 2020. Her reports on the revolution in Iran reach millions of people. Her books on Iran and Afghanistan have become highly acclaimed bestsellers.

The artist Ronja Chlebowski grew up in Mülheim and lives and works in Berlin. She studied art and art education in her bachelor's degree and gender studies, specialising in sociology, in her master's degree. After a few years as a diversity manager in one of Germany's largest companies, she followed her dream of working full-time as an artist. Today, she is internationally recognised for her abstract artworks. She likes to combine different materials, such as high-intensity pigments, spray paint, oil markers or sand paste. She uses handmade canvases for her paintings. She is a lecturer in abstract painting and her exhibitions can be visited throughout Germany.

Britta Cornelißen worked in various start-ups, SMEs and corporations before setting up her own business in 2019 and founding COACHINGLAB745. Since then, she has worked as a freelance business psychologist, coach and lecturer and can often be found in her COACHINGVAN. In her work, Britta integrates the latest scientific findings from coaching, positive psychology, applied psychology and neighbouring disciplines. Britta has a teaching assignment ‘Coaching at university - helping people to help themselves’ at the Justus-Liebig University in Giessen. She is particularly enthusiastic and passionate about empowering founders, self-employed people and self-employed mothers and making them more visible.

Ayşegül Doğangün studied computer science with a minor in psychology at Humboldt University in Berlin and completed her doctorate at the University of Duisburg-Essen. She led an interdisciplinary junior research group on personal analytics and has been a professor of human-centred technology development at Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences since 2018. Her research focuses on health monitoring, participatory research, user experience and the explainability of artificial intelligence in socially relevant fields of application. She aims to have a positive and sustainable impact on society through innovative technologies and research results.

PD Dr Kristin Eichhorn holds a professorship for Modern German Literature at the University of Stuttgart. She is a co-initiator of the #IchBinHanna campaign (alongside Amrei Bahr and Sebastian Kubon) and works in various roles to improve working conditions in academia.

Founded in 2023 on the feminist day of struggle, the Flintasy collective is dedicated to strengthening the art and culture scene in the Ruhr region. Through the Flintasy magazine, social-artistic workshops and the collective network, the initiative promotes networking, empowerment and the creative development of FLINTA* people and the queer community. The magazine provides a platform for diverse artistic expressions and discourses that are often overlooked in the mainstream and strengthens marginalised voices. The workshops aim to teachskills, strengthen networks and promote personal and collective growth. Since its inception, Flintasy has worked to raise awareness of equality and improve accessibility to creative spaces.

GINI's music stands for pure emotion, honesty and authenticity. Her lyrics reflect her personal experiences and emotions, which she conveys with an empowering and hopeful energy. Her songs deal with universal themes such as love, heartbreak, resilience, self-discovery, adolescent experiences and overcoming intergenerational crises in young adulthood. One of GINI's particular strengths is her ability to take on socially taboo subjects and bring them to her audience with great respect and sensitivity. Daphna Joel is Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at Tel Aviv University. Her expertise as a neuroscientist and her interest in gender studies inspired her to question the existence of a ‘male’ and a ‘female’ brain. In her research, Joel uses various methods of analysis to examine diverse data sets - from large volumes of brain scans to information from self-report questionnaires. Joel's concepts of the brain and gender mosaic continue to change thinking and research on sex, brain and gender.

Hava Misimi is the founder and managing director of the financial and insurance consultancy Femance. The company offers digital and independent advice, an online ETF course and free financial education content. Building on her renowned financial blog, she founded Femance in 2021. She is a trained finance and insurance expert and bestselling author of the book ‘Money Kondo’.

Diyana Nicolaus is a graduate social scientist, diversity trainer and theatre educator (BuT). She completed her studies at Ruhr University Bochum, specialising in media studies, social psychology and gender sociology, before working as a broadcasting editor for a news channel. She then moved to the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees, where she worked as a trainer for anti-discrimination and diversity sensitisation, among other things. Today, she develops and manages freelance projects in which she combines social, personality-building and artistic topics with theatre education methods.

Nils Pickert, born in East Berlin in 1979, studied literature and politics and has since written as a freelance journalist for Die Zeit, taz, Schweizer Tagesanzeiger and the Austrian Standard, where he has a monthly feminist column. In 2012, he donned a skirt in solidarity with his five-year-old son, causing a worldwide sensation. Since 2013, he has been active in word and deed for the Pinkstinks association against sexism and homophobia. He lives in Münster with his partner and their four children.

Dr Florence Randrianarisoa is a doctor, presenter, science journalist and author. She first studied media cultural studies and media management, then human medicine. After completing her doctorate, she worked as a doctor in a hospital and now works as a television presenter, science journalist for radio and television and as a content creator. On her YouTube channel DR. FLOJO, Florence explains medical knowledge at eye level to inspire people to better understand their own bodies and take better care of them.

Dr Emilia Roig is a political scientist and author of the bestsellers ‘Why we matter’ and ‘The end of marriage’. She inspires people to break free from systems of oppression and change the collective consciousness. She has taught at universities in France, Germany and the USA on intersectionality, postcolonial studies, critical race theory and queer feminism. Before her doctorate, she worked for international organisations on human rights issues. In 2017, she founded the Centre for Intersectional Justice (CIJ). She has received several awards, including the Edition F Award 2021 and was voted ‘Most Influential Woman of the Year’ in 2022. She has been a Research Fellow at Heidelberg University since January 2023.

Prof. Dr. Joana Vassilopoulou is Professor of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Head of the Department of Organisations & People at Brunel Business School, Brunel University London. Her research focuses on equality, diversity and inclusion, gender, migration, AI & diversity and precarious work from a critical and international comparative perspective. She has been part of funded projects in the area of diversity and inclusion totalling over £2.5 million, including for the OECD, the European Academy of Management (EURAM), EU Horizon2020 and EU Erasmus+.

Dr rer. nat. Anja Vervoorts holds a doctorate in biology and has many years of experience at the university. As Central Equal Opportunities Officer at Heinrich Heine University and spokesperson for LaKof NRW, she has wide-ranging experience in the field of strategic planning and implementation of measures and projects at universities. She is a member and reviewer for various professional organisations. She loves moderating scientific events because she can always learn something new.
