Connections - Positive Computing
The institute has a national and international network. It works on various projects together with companies, associations, universities, schools and research institutions as well as with the participation of the public.
Even before the research institute was established, a large number of companies and organizations expressed their interest in working together. These are based on existing cooperative relationships and projects, particularly in the field of e-health.
As a transdisciplinary approach is important to the Institute, we offer various formats for cooperation with us:
Direct collaborations: Partners can actively participate in shaping the Institute and corresponding projects. Ideally, both target group representatives and commercial enterprises are involved in such projects in order to enable a holistic approach.
Innovation workshops: At regular intervals, the Institute organizes topic-specific workshops with interested partner companies and organizations. Topics that can be worked on together are discussed, for examplen.
The field of positive computing is as diverse as its areas of application. This is why our cooperation partners include companies from a wide range of industries. Here is a selection of companies that have supported us from the very beginning:
Ford (Research and Innovation Center Aachen)
Innovation City Management GmbH
Soziales Zentrum Dortmund e.V.
Stadt Mülheim an der Ruhr / Referat Bildung, Soziales, Jugend, Gesundheit, Sport und Kultur
The topic of positive computing is relevant as an interdisciplinary topic in various specialist and industry associations/networks. Through the membership and active collaboration of the participating professors, the topic is anchored regionally, nationally and internationally in the following associations (e.g. in the form of a special interest group):

Wissenschaftliche Kommission Wirtschaftsinformatik
Gesellschaft für Informatik / Fachbereich Wirtschaftsinformatik
